Teaser Tuesday is a weekly meme that was started by MizB from Should Be Reading.
If you would like to participate in Teaser Tuesday, all you have to do is take the book that you are currently reading and open it to any page. Then you choose any two (2) sentences from that page to share with the rest of us!
This week’s teaser comes from page 130 of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Jane Austen and Seth Grahame-Smith. Did you know this is slated to become a movie as well?

"Elizabeth drew her Katana and shielded herself from the first three flying weapons, then snatched the fourth out of the air and threw it back at its originator-striking him in the thigh. The ninja cried out and grabbed the wound with both hands, and Elizabeth brought her blade down, taking off not only the hands, but the leg which they held firmly."
That's a great teaser! I've heard such good things about this book :)
ReplyDeleteVery gruesome, but makes for a great teaser. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteSo descriptive and full of action!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog.
Gruesome. I have a hard time visualizing Elizabeth doing this. So much more likely to stab with a hat pin.
ReplyDeleteYikes! I'm a huge P&P fan but it's just hard for me to picture Elizabeth cutting into zombies...are you guys liking this read so far?
ReplyDeleteLOL--Alice Audrey's comment. I can't see Elizabeth Bennett doing this either. How do you like it? thanks for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteHahaha! Great teaser. I have two this week at The Crowded Leaf.
ReplyDelete'"Water..." gasped the soldier by the rocks. It was surprising, but was still alive.'
ReplyDeletePage 218 of The Blade Itself.
Good teaser. I'd go see the movie!
ReplyDeleteLove that teaser, I like the instant image that I creat on my mind of Elizabeth with a katana. hahaha

That's a great image in my head! Don't think I'd ever read this book, but you never know!
ReplyDeleteGreat teaser. I'm still a bit skeptical about this one, but I may pick it up this summer
ReplyDeleteWhoa! Good teaser ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog and commenting on teaser
Ooh. I want to read this one! Too cool!
ReplyDeleteI saw that book at Barnes and Noble, but I didn't pick it up yet. I have so many to read already! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI think I love Pride and Prejudice too much to read this one. Glad you like it, though!
ReplyDeleteJane Austen and Zombies don't sound like a very good mix! Thanks for visiting.
ReplyDeleteI tried to read this book and ended up not being able to finish it. It was just too annoyingly tedious for me but I hope you are enjoying it!
ReplyDeletemy teaser: THE IT GIRL
Oh I really enjoyed this parody althoug the second wasn't as good for me haha! But great teaser and thanks for stoppin by mine!
ReplyDeleteHow are you liking P & P & Zombies so far? I love Jane Austen, enjoy zombies, and thought the concept was clever, but I had a hard time with the way it was written. I think I would have liked it much more if Seth had not used quite so much of the actual text from the original novel, but had written it more like a zombie-filled fanfic. I look forward to reading your reviews.
ReplyDeleteOur teaser is from The Rise of Renegade X this week.
This book is on my wishlist. Great teaser.
ReplyDelete:) Great teaser :)
ReplyDeleteYou got a smile out of me with this one. I'm picturing Lizzie Bennett doing all that and find it amusing. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by my blog. I don't feel like I can read this since I never read the original, but maybe it would be like killing two birds with one..Zombie. Sorry. :)
ReplyDeleteIf you are an armchair traveller, I have tons of pics on my blog from recent travels. I currently live in S. Korea and spent a weekend in Taiwan a few weeks ago that allowed for some great photo opportunities.
